LCFF - Presentation via .PDF - Wednesday, October 15, 2014

LCAP: We will be having an LCAP information session on Friday, October 17th in room B2 at 3:30. We are looking to gather information from the community to help us develop our LCAP Plan. LCAP (Local Control Accountability Plan) is a three year action plan to address student needs, account for expenditures and support student outcomes and performance.  This plan will identify the priorities of spending and involve all major stakeholders to ensure that are students are College and Career-ready and able to make life choices that have successful, universal outcomes. While Bert Lynn Middle School's LCAP funds are limited to three major catagories, English Language Learners, Students from Low Income Households and Foster Youth.  This will be both an informational and input gathering session. Please join us as we are always looking for ways to build and help children become more successful.

Model United Nations - Parent Info Night
Tuesday, September 30th at 6 pm in the Bert Lynn Cafe.

Dear Parents,

Torrance Unified School District has entered an agreement with the Torrance –South Bay YMCA to offer a leadership program for middle school students entitled “Model United Nations.”  This program is run through out the state of California and will be starting later this month or in November and is scheduled to run through May. While the weekly meetings are free the four-month program culminates at the YMCA’s annual Model United Nations Summit in Irvine, California.

Interested parents are encouraged to visit the following link for more information and attend our information this Tuesday, September 30th at 6pm in our Café.
